Hi All,
Thought I'd throw this into the digital ether and see what came back fully formed.
Installed Windows 10 last night. After 8/9 attempts, unplugging all my numerous HDDs, uninstalling AV and unplugging everything. Got it up and running. Hurrah. My glee was short lived.
Having done that, I set about reconnecting all my hdd. So, 2 SATA drives, 1 IDE drive and 2 further SATA drives in JBOD RAID configuration. And my SATA DVD drive.
Here's where the problems start. First, I get the rapid bios beeps... Not good. Reset, message from BIOS - "your overclocking attempt failed..." (DAFUQ?) - never bodes well. Get it to boot to Windows 10, POST detects all drives... the spinning dots are very sluggish on the Win 10 load screen. Get as far as the splash screen and PC freezes. Hard reset.
Now, no POST. At all. No beeps. No activity. It turns on, LEDs on board indicate everything a-ok, fans spin up. Just ah heck all else. Have done the usual checking (leads/card seating/RAM). Unplugged all drives. Plugged in one drive. Nothing. Reset CMOS with battery. Nada. The computer is dead... Suggestions?

AMD Phenom 9850 BE
K9A2 Platinum MoBo
Xilent 800w PSU
RADEON R7 240 GPU
Corsair XMS2 800 DDR2 - 6gb
Corsair H50 Cooler
Samsung 850 SSD 256gb (C
4 X SATA HDD - 1tb-2tb
1 X IDE HDD - 500gb
HP DVD-RW Drive
Belkin Wireless Card
USB 3.0 Card
SATA2 Controller Card
Anything that could avoid me having to buy a new computer would be great. I know my computer is old. But it was an absolute trooper with Win 7. Trust Win 10 to destroy its legacy.
