Win 10 vs Win 8.1

I'm building my first gaming pc and i need to choose an operating system. I like win 10, but i'm worried about compatibility with drivers, games and programs. My MoBo and GPU are Gigabyte GA-Z97x Gaming 5 and Gtx 970.
Wich one should i choose? Is Win 10 ok?

If you are building a new PC with all new parts, you have zero driver concerns. Just use Windows 10 so that you can play Fable Legends (for free) and other DX12 games when they come out.
