Hello gentlemen,

Since July my Pc tried numerous times to install the two updates in the title: everytime installation failed during reboot ("Something went wrong, but don't worry etc etc"). THe error code is 0x8007054f.
At one point I tried to manually fix the situation:
-I ran SFC scannow
-I ran DISM tools
- I got fed up and reinstalled windows 11 altogether via Windows Installation Assistant.

Yet, situation got only worse. At one point, after being stuck in reboot loop for like two hours, The os gave up and gave me the recovery options, asking to go back to a previous restore point.
Nothing worked, until I manually uninstalled the last update.

Can anybody tell me what's going on?

Solution
I got fed up and reinstalled windows 11 altogether via Windows Installation Assistant.
I wonder how that works

Microsoft have done to you what they did to a few others.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-preview-473e1d95-06a0-4f40-9554-cdc7cca85584 is included in https://support.microsoft.com/en-au...2000-856-a9f7a399-be3b-4dcf-ba1b-df9f178e29fc

so the 1st is a preview CU of the 2nd one.

Wish they stop putting out preview updates, you not only person I helped with similar problem although he had the 1st update and it wouldn't let him get 2nd. You can't get either.

I would try this...

good suggestion mate, you were on spot.
You have to do an ISO installation as you suggested AND uninstall any third party antivirus you may have, especially malwarebytes, that is the really important part.

then it works ok.
