I have read about creating a Win 11 drive for installation. I have a Win 11 installation thumb drive I bought when I upgraded the hardware on my PC early last year. I assume that is all I need? Thanks.

That's the same thing.
You can recreate windows installation USB flash drive with newest windows installation version.

Yes, you should be able to use that USB drive to get the latest version directly from MS.
