win 2000 user restriction!

i am a newbie in window 2000...i am try to setup different user account for each one...like administrator, guest account, power user...but when i use the power user account and administrator i can access the lan.....but when i log in the guest account i can't access the lan...the reason i want to use the guest account is i set it to restricted user.so no body can install the software i didn't want to my computer...but i want to guest account be able to access the lan..can anybody please tell me how to prevent guest install software onto my comptuer but they can access the lan for file sharing and internet...thx..

Create acoounts for users with their names (John, User1, Computer2, ....whoever, whatever) and add them different rights assigning, but don't grant guest to anybody cause you'll be very confused with that powerless group at the beginning of your networking.
Simply don't touch it, don't enable it for a while.
