Doesn't seem like much of a difference at this point. I think i'm gonna have to buy better ram and overclock this amd64 if i see a drop in proformance when win64 is released. I'm not really not going to worry about it at this point in time.

AMD64 2800+
MSI Neo-Fis2r
512mb Kingmax ddr400
Sapphire 9800pro 128mb
10K WD Raptor

well they didn't test for games that have 64 bit coding for them. The only one I know so far is Far Cry.

Which it should help out alittle bit there.

Beta OS with Beta drivers, 32 bit games running in a beta 64 bit environment.....i dont think these benches mean anything at all. Not sure why they even bothered to write this article.

"Who is General Failure, and why is he reading my drive?"
P4 3.0 HT, Intel D865GBF, 512MB Crucial PC3200 DDR, WD 36GB Raptor 10,000RPM, BBA Radeon 9600PRO, SB Audigy, Hauppage WinTV

true, its a bit premature, but I'm guessing its more of drivrs thing cuause WarCraft 3 performed better and it much more cpu intesive. Anyone know if this game was optimized for 64 bit?

No I do not think it was. btw, looks like you just made "old hand" entium

nope ut 2004 wasn't I think, I didn't notice much of a difference with amd 64 and intel with the same ghz.

Oh wow cool didn't notice that cefoskey, thx :)

um

so they have a 64bit version of UT2004, and they used the 32bit version to test the 64bit windows? that makes sense!

hard to say, its just a different dll for the engine. Let me check, I didn't notice a specific dll for amd 64 :/. I haven't updated ut 2004 though.

oh, ok

i thought there was a 64bit version tho, even if its generic, wasnt there?

yep there is must be auto detected or somethin no different dll must have been part of the orginal engine core.
