Windows doesn't see my new internal 4T HDD nor my 1TB SSD.
Have tried;
diskpart - list disk
BIOS - enabling SATA ports
Macrium
Disk management
chkdsk /f/r
It used to see the SSD but no longer does. They simply don't show up
BTW, It's a Z97 K ASUS mbd

I'm stumped! Any new suggestions??
Thank you in advance.

Yes! SSD is installed! Good to know! Thank you. Is there another way to use SSD w/o disabling SATA ports 5/6?
List model names of your drives. How many drives are there in your pc?

If your M.2 drive is sata, then with M.2 to sata adapter you could connect it to sata port instead.
If your M.2 drive is nvme, then you could install it into a free PCIE slot with M.2 to PCIE adapter.

Skynet, Grobe; Thanks for the response! I called the ASUS techs who confirmed the disabeling of SATA ports 5 & 6 when m2 is in use. According to them there is no work around. I will look into a RAID setup as a workaround, but have never used this.... thanks for your attention.
