Win 7 and peripherals

Hi evereybody, my first post.

Should I disconnect all my peripherals before doing a clean install of win 7? Scanner, printer, modem etc.

It's not necessary. They aren't even recognized until you turn them on. Just having them plugged in won't make a difference during the install.

I always do, just incase a failed driver install cause the Win7 install to go fubar.

during the installation, Windows copies all the necessary files for the motherboard and hardware in the computer, stuff outside the case, if it's off, can't be seen, and most of it requires drivers to be used
