Win 7 will not install on msi 740a-g45

Can not for the life of me get Win 7 to install on a msi 740a-g45 mb w/AMD fx-6100 processor running 16g of ram.

It partially installs then locks up. I can get to the point where it's starting services but it never finishes.

Can u post more info on what and how did u do the install and where it fails?

Are u installing from the DVD?

Installing from a dvd onto a ssd. Version from previous install is on another drive. Upgraded to msi mb, amd processor, corsair 1600 mem (16g). Power supply is 600w. Graphics is evga gt250 ti 2gb,

Tried install with another graphics card, 8gb memory and old drive disconnected. No change

It fails when it tries to start services

Do u have a RAM test on the mobo?

Try to install with just 1 stick of RAM.

Got it working. Installed an 850w ps. Set dram to 1600mhz (as per the memory).
Apparently the 600w ps couldn't support 1600mhz so the dram was defaulted to 1333 mhz. When we set the dram to 1600mhz with the old ps the machine wouldn't boot.
