Hello,
I received this message when I booted from a Win 7 restore disc:
OCC9 Unexpected I/O error has ocurred. As it loads the files, it just stops. What is going on?

Obviously cannot read the disk. If a cd restore disk, make sure it is clean and not scratched. If on hard drive, run chkdsk /r on that drive from CMD prompt

EG, chkdsk x: /r (where X is your hard drive.)

The message that you recieved was it only one time that you tried booting from the restore disc or have you tried more than once and gotten the message every time.
