Win 8.1 System Reserved Full

I went to rebuild my index for searching as i have never done it, and halfway through it paused and said Drive E: was almost full 88.0kb free of 349mb. I have no idea how to free it up again or if its just a bug, any help is appreciated!

Hey there, Tyler Steve!

I think it's pest if you backup your data and reinstall Windows 8.1.
You should never resize a System Reserved partition because it might cause your whole system to crash and prevent proper booting.

i would love to but sadly i have no key to reinstall windows 8.1 since microsoft never provided proper keys on the upgrade from 8 to 8.1 🙁

Don't be sad! If you do have the product key for Windows 8, you can still perform a clean install of Windows 8.1.

A fresh install will most probably solve your issue, so you should give it a try!
If you encounter any issues, you can contact MS for support with the OS activation.

Thanks for your continued help, but sadly i have tried to use the windows 8 key numerous times to no avail. and have contacted MS support multiple times where there only options were to get a remote virus wipe or buy windows again. it looks like i just have to wait for win 10 🙁

You can still install Windows 8, right? So why don't you just use that OS version until they officially launch Windows 10 into the market.
