I'm building a computer and I was wondering that could I get Win 8.1 from my current PC to my new one? Is it possible as all and if it is, can I keep Win 8 on my both computer or can I have it on just one computer? Thanks
The license is good for only 1 pc. You would need another license for the new computer.
Would it work if I would take the hard drive from my pc and copy the files from it to my new PCs SSD, install lets say Linux to my old hard drive and delete everything related to Win 8 from it, would the win 8 work on my new PC?
Yes and no.
Your install of windows would probably not work on a different machine because of the hardware and drivers. You would need to re-install Windows.
A Windows license is only good on one computer, you can move it to another computer as long as it is wiped from the old computer, so you could put Linux on the old one, and you's be fine.

I currently have a prebuilt PC that I upgraded on the way so I don't have the install CD or anything. Do you still think that it would work?
