Win 98 and memory problems

I have a problem with Win98 running with 64 megs. Keep getting a windows protection error and will not load windows. Flashed BIOS on m/b and still same results. Runs just fine with 32 megs, no errors. Any insight?

Maybe it's the second stick of 32mb ram. Is the memory compatable with motherboard, proccesor etc.? Like pc100 or 66?

I have tried variations of 64 megs. I have tried one stick of PC-100 64 megs. I have tried several combinations of 32 meg sticks. But all 32 meg sticks by themselves work perfectly. All 32 meg sticks are of the same parity and speed.

Sounds like some type of hardware problem. What type of motherboard? Have you checked the manufactures web site?

I have had problems getting responses from the manufacturer. It is an Agama AM-s7xwd M/B; 366MHz celeron PPGA with on board 4 meg agp video, sound, and a Voodoo2 card. I know the m/b is an off brand but it runs just fine with 32 megs. Anything more is a problem.
