I recently got a new Asus Rog G750, with Windows 8.1, and this is the first time I've tried to transfer photos to it. The memory card and camera both worked fine with my previous computer. Any idea how to get the computer to see the files? I already tried 'Show Hidden Files' with no luck. I have checked that Windows 8.1 has the latest updates, so that has been covered.

The card does show up as a letter drive.
It indicates file space is in use.
All pictures are viewable on the camera without problem.
Computer has the latest updates.

They don't show on the camera if I put a different card in. And the computer indicates that not all of the free space is available, it just doesn't show the files taking up that space. And the fact it doesn't show the photos when I leave the card in the camera and the camera itself is plugged in is odd as well.

Windows 8 has the ability to see and read pretty much any file type or format including fat 16 or fat 32 so I dont think the issue can be the computer. If the files are there but not visible on either component then its possible the card itself the sdhc is going bad or has gone bad. I get this issue quite often with my cards that I use in my trail cameras for hunting. Only good thing is they are not too expensive.

What about the pictures? Is there any way to get them from the card? I mean, I can view them on the camera without problem, so why can't I get them by connecting the camera to the computer?

BTW; love your avatar

Ok sorry I misunderstood your last post then, I thought you said when you put the card in your camera you where not seeing the pictures either. My mistake, ok when you put the card in your camera, can you access the files and determine what file type they are. They should be like a jpeg or something in a raw format at the least and hopefully not the DPOF or MPO file type. If you can see the files types check the camera and see if it gives you the option to change the file format type. Also what program are you using to access the files, just file explorer?

Thanks about the avatar

I went through to find updates, and it took me a while to get past some odd error with some of the updates, but I got that one installed. Unfortunately, no luck.

I went into the details on what device formats Microsoft Camera Codec Pack provides support for, and didn't see the Panasonic DMC-FH20 listed. So I can understand why the camera may not be working quite right with the computer, but I don't see why the SDHC card isn't showing the files, when I can see the photos on the camera itself.
