Hello tech gurus,
I needed to get some room on my dual-boot Lion/Win 8 Macbook Pro. I imaged the Windows 8 Bootcamp disk to my external Thunderbolt Raid 0 disk (which are formatted NTFS) using Macrium and built a Windows PE Rescue CD. After testing the Rescue Disk's ability to access the external drive (which it did!), I repartitioned the Mac (destroying the Windows 8 bootcamp partition), created a new partition to restore my Windows image, and then booted from the Windows PE CD... Eeeek, unlike the test run, the Rescue Disk can't see the Thunderbolt external disk and it has my Windows 8 image. Does anyone know how to get the Windows PE-based Rescue CD system to access the external thunderbolt drive so I can restore my Windows image?
Have a great weekend.
