Setting up Mom's old XP box for her in our home w/a Belkin USB wifi adaptor. It sees the network but our rhome outer is set with a 20 hexadecimal passkey. I entered this on her box and was told I need a different amount of hexadecimals for WEP (of course!) BUT when I try to change network settings to WPA or WPA-PSK it's greyed out and will not let me change.
Help??

Is the XP box at SP3, and have you checked that the wifi adapter actually supports WPA/WPA-PSK?
