So my computer with Win10 froze up, just while opening chrome. It freaked me out as I hope its not a hardware failure somewhere.
Luckily I have three hard drives if my main one is failing.
I shut the PC off, (holding down power) restarted and it seems to be fine.
I updated Windows, all drivers and cleaned up temp files.
I wish there was an easy way to figure out what the hell happened.
Win10 installed on intel m.2 SSD
16GB RAM
MSI RTX 2070
Ryzen 7 2700x
Maybe a suggestion to some diagnostic tool I've never heard of. I think this happened once before a long time ago.
If my memory serves, if it was a critical failure somewhere Windows might let me know.
Defender scanned and found nothing.
Thanks in advance
EDIT I checked event viewer and the only thing I found was where I did the hard shut down.
