win10 lock screen problem. I use one of those free timer to shut down my computer after certain amount of time. I tried multiple different timers and they all work as long as I don't lock the screen. is there some setting I can change in windows to allow my timer to shut down my computer. Already played with the power settings.

Solution
Hi,

Have you tried Task Scheduler for the auto shutdown? I used it before and it worked like a charm. :)
- Click Start and search for Manage or Computer Management.
- Once open click on Task Scheduler on the left pane then click on Create Basic Task on the right pane.
- In Create Basic Task Wizard name the task as ShutDown or any name you want then click on Next.
- In trigger you can select from the list. (stick with Daily) and click Next
- You'll need to specify the time when you want your PC to shut down and click Next.
- In Action select Start a program then Next again.
- Under Program/script enter this: C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe
- In Add arguments put "-s" and click Next.
- Lastly is to click Finish.

Hope this tip will be...
