win10 mystery transfer

Basically:

~ purchased a win10 loaded new pc
~ temporarily connected an hdd from my old xp loaded pc to check if I could read it/see it
~ disconnected xp hdd
~ now all programs fully installed eg photoshop elements etc

how is this possible?

So you plugged in an old drive from the XP system?
This drive had PS Elements on it?
You disconnected it?
And now somehow PS Elements exists on the Win 10 system?

The actual application?

I don't want to say it can't do that....but it can't do that.

It's all there... without any reinstallation... fully functional from the drop down 'open with' option...

Yes... it's sitting in c\program files(x86)\adobe\photoshop elements 7.0

The whole application... I've opened it twice... I do not understand either
