I have acquired an old laptop - an Acer Aspire 5680 which was running Vista so V E R Y slow.
I've upgraded it to 4GB RAM and have put a fresh SSD in it with Win10 but the GPU only takes the generic Microsoft driver.
The display is large and it will not allow connection to a monitor / display.
Its Win10 64 bit that I installed - it was 32bit Vista before so it this saying that something in the build wont accept 64 bit and I should start again and reinstall as Win10 32 bit??
Its only going to be a machine for the kids to browse the net for homework and to use MS Office plus some Kodi viewing for myself connected to a TV in the garage from time to time.
I am working on the assumption that this is a built in gpu and that there is no scope to add in an additional separate GPU to the mobo (I've no experience with laptops).
The machine CPU is a Core Duo2 T5600 1.83Ghz 677mhz.
