Hi
Whenever I try booting from the DVD drive it always bypasses the DVD and boots into Windows 10. This happens regardless of the BIOS I'm using. It happens on an old PC with American Megatrends Inc. (the old blue screen that uses the keyboard and not the mouse) and also on the very latest PC that's only a few months old and using UEFI BIOS.

I want to move from Win10 back to Win7 because I have a Flight Simulator setup that uses several PCs and Win10 has been causing me all sorts of problems lately with it's UNSTOPPABLE UPGRADING!.

It's almost as if Win10 has disabled booting from DVD in order to stop me from reverting..! (or am I being paranoid!)

So far the only way I have managed to do it is by putting the Hard Drive from the PC that I want to revert into another PC and formatting it. Then without Win10 on the hard drive it boots from the DVD and allows me to install Win7.

Has anybody experienced this? Is Win10 hijacking the DVD boot? Anyone have any ideas how I can boot a Win10 PC from Win7 DVD?

Regards
Peter

Thanks.
Maybe I should have mentioned that I have been building PCs for the last 30 years so I do have some experience. However I have never had this problem before which is why I have posted.
On each occasion that I have experienced this problem the DVD drive was 1st in the boot priority. In the installation I am currently doing I actually set the Hard Drive to 'Disabled' in the boot section of the BIOS.
Even that did not stop Win10 booting.
