WIN10 Rollback 2017 HELP

So i had free update of win10 installed than i wanted to go back to win8 and than i installed win10 again through windows media creation tool and now i have no option to rollback to windows 8 if ill take a factory reset that will install previous version of windows (8.1) will i need my product key for it?

I mean i saw the factory reset thing that will install windows that came with my laptop (winows 8.1) and im wondering if i will need to enter my product key for it
