Win10 update issues

Hey there,

Last night my laptop updated with the latest Win10 update and shut down. I came to it this morning and it asked me to select my keyboard layout. It then asked me to either rollback to an earlier version of Win or load Win10 from a partition. I loaded Win10 and it went to the login screen for the administrative account. It then went to another update screen but after that I had an error message come up saying my desktop could not be located. The Win10 icon would not load so I had to remove the battery to shut it down. I then tried to access my work account (non administrative) and it said it couldn't connect to the service. I went back to administrative and tried a system restore but it said there is no previous restore points (which is BS). I then tried to reset my laptop and said that it couldn't be done. I've tried troubleshooting and start up repair but nothing is working. Please let me know what's happened and what can be done - if anything.

Its very difficult from here to figure out exactly what happened and by the time we do figure it out we will be in an old folks home. You need to use your Emergency Recovery disk or USB drive that you made when you bought the Laptop. Basically a complete install of windows and all your drivers. Windows can be a pain in the butt, but if you have all your drivers ready it is easy and in my opinion should be done every once in a while anyway.
