It started with error code 0xc00000f
I googled some solutions, going into command prompt, but none of them worked.
I've put Microsoft's Installation tool on usb, tried repairing windows with it but it just gets stuck, on repair and restore too. I did gave it time, more than 24hrs but it was more than obvious nothing was happening.
Today I tried Disk Scan Repair tool, it ran and afterwards Windows wouldnt load again. I got this from the program:

http://paste.ubuntu.com/25652517/

Being impatient and stubborn as i am i tried again repairing Windows with Microsofts win10 tool, Ive reached this window

0111-install-tool-100633988-orig.jpg

and... thats it. When i click on repair window just flashes for a second and nothing happens. I didnt try "Install now" because im still hoping i will find a solution but who knows, maybe even that wouldnt work.

Any ideas?

You need a converter to enable you to take that hard disk out of the laptop and slave it to another. That other machine doesn't have to run Linux but it isn't so precious about Windows passwords or other restrictions.

Removing the drive from the laptop is usually a matter of removing every screw you can see on the base and gently prising the case apart using an old bank card. The drive is just over 2½" by 4" long and the thickness of a cigarette thick. It will be held in by some screws and needs careful pulling out of its connections.

I'm not recommending this product but this e-Bay UK page shows what you will need to power the disk and transfer your personal data to the host machine...
If you're posting from another PC or laptop, now would be a good time to remove that hard disk and slave it to the other machine for the purpose of rescuing your data.

While it's in there, run Checkdisk at an elevated Command form and using the /r switch to fix errors. The syntax willl be
chkdsk x: /r
where x is the drive letter assigned by the host machine.

If it shows up as OK or repaired, then a fresh installation is a pain in the rear, installing all your programmes again, but it is the best way to go

Oh... did I mention I am noob when it comes to most of the stuff, im just pro googler? lol
I have other laptops but to switch hd's is beyond my knowledge. Laptop im having problems is 3+ years old HP Pavillion and some time ago i googled how to open it to just clean fan... nope :x And to remove hd - thats too much for me, ill probably just screw up other laptop lol

I tried to boot off from Microsofts installation tool thingy from usb, got it from Microsoft's page... and then i ran Boot Repair Disk tool, and i used Rufus to make bootable usb with the tool.

At this moment i am still hoping I will find some way to get my files from old laptop, its not a lot just few freaking invoices i have on it and didnt back up, but if not - i will do clean install, not a big deal, not even getting old programs back on it is the issue, my main concern is... would it work if its bad hdd?

Im gonna try next what you suggested Colif :)

Thank you guys for replying and trying to help :)

chkdsk c: /r /x has been running since yesterday, some corrupt entries deleted, some "unreadable"... at the moment on 25% so fingers crossed. if not will do what you said Colif, and then... see what next is gonna drive me nuts 😀

I know 🙁
Last time I checked it it was at least 5hrs ago, was on 180 840, now on 181 109 out of total 709 376, so still on 25%
Should I pronounce it dead? 😀 Give up? Let it run?

I went out so by the time I got home it moved to 97% so I let it finish.

Came to
SMART Hard Disk Error.
The Smart hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. To ensure not data loss, please back up the content immediately and run the Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics...

Dammit.
🙁

It has the connector that plugs into the top of the drive and a double ended USB cable - one for power, the other for data so your host ill need two spare USB ports. The case is superfluous unless you buy a new disk to put it in it and use it as a backup drive.

Solution
Thank you so much for detailed explanation, but considering the fact that its just few invoices... too much of a work for noob like me. Either gonna get new hd or just get rid of it. Its 3,5 years old and i guess thats as much as one can expect from laptops in that price range.

Thank you a lot lot lot for patience and all your help :)
