I want to upgrade (or as the program tells me, downgrade)
to Win2000 from WinMe. I am sick an tired of WinMe
(problems with memory allocation and it freezes up all the
time).
The disk I have is Win2000 Server (and I also have a
Win2000 Advanced Server), but I don't have a basic Win2000
disk.
What are the major differences between the two?
Will Win2000 Server work for home usage?
Will Win2000 Server work on a laptop (PII, 300 MHz, 4.6 GB
HDD - 1G avail, 512 MB RAM)?
For some reason, Win2000 is more expensive than WinXP.
WinXP was $99 and Win200o was over $200. I would upgrade
to XP, except my computer does not meet the requirements.
I used Win2000 at work and had no problems (except
occasional driver compatability issues, which MS
eventually updated).
