WIN2K Srvr & HD cache

Running Win2K server w/ Western Digital HD.
the drive is on Microsofts HCL

Everytime I restart server the Hard drive cache disables itself.

If i go into the properties of the hard and enable the HD cache it does it but it says that it has been disabled to prevent possible data corruption.

anyone have any clues?

I know there is a patch from microsoft that resolves issues with drives with large buffers... might be something to research, but i think it was only for ME/9x. Something to think about anyway

Been there - Gotta disable APM - and its sometimes difficult!
