This morning I was installing some new software. I installed Omnipage Web Personal Edition and it asked to reboot and I said yes. Now, my system freezes at the starting Windows screen with the white blocks progress bar at the botten. It doesnt even start just freezes. I have tried f8 and it still freezes with VGA graphics mode and safe mode which throws up a few lines of data and freezes. My system is a p3 700 not o/c on an asus CUSL2 mobo. It has been running trouble free for about 4 months now until this happened. I do have emergency repair disks which I know mostly dont work whenever you have the misfortune to have to use them. Since I also am using a Promise AT100 controller I would have to disconnect my cdrom drives from the mainboard and connect my HD's to it since win2k in cannot detect the HD's onless they are connected to the mainboard during a reinstall/installation repair with emergency repair disks etc. Anyone help me out please. I would prefer not to have to start from scratch with this system which was running sweet and had a lot of programs installed. Will take 24 plus hours to get up and running again as nicely. Not something I have the time or energy for.

So U have tried safe mode?
Can U get the menu when it asks: "For trobleshooting options press F8"? If You can, the Last Known Good Configurations is your choice...
IF you can't, then its the repair choosen during w2k setup...
IF U got better solution, please reply.
