Hi

i have a friend who i work with in my office and for some reason even though we are on the same network. his computer is very slow. it take ages to load IE and even longer to view a page.

The spec of the system is similar to mine whihc is P4 2GHZ, ram is 256 and HDD is 30GB

from what his told me he has had it reformated but still same problem. I will reformat myself this time but just wanted anytips.

I have checked the taskbar and there arn't any strange file running in the backround.

get a Mozilla or Opera for a browser and see if those are doing the same. If so, you've got a bad hub on nic in there. And by the way, try to use your PC on his connection, see if that changes anything, if you have same problem as he does, then there is no question, you have bad wiring.
