I recently upgraded to win2k on 2 home networked computers.
When uploading changes to websites, my browser (1e 5.5 & 6.0) will not see any changes (though they are done properly) Why is this happening ????
Is there a setting in win2k that needs to be checked to view changed sites? This is a serious problem for me and I can't find any info on this subject

On IE 6 click on "Tools"..then "internet options"..next under "Temporary Internet Files" click "settings" Your options are at the top.

No matter how I tried to refresh it always came up with the old webpage. How does win2k cache its files? Where can you adjust how it reads a new page? (I went into properties in Ie 6.0 and adjusted temporary internet files from automatic to several other settings to see if would work)

It makes no sense to me as to why changed pages are still appearing as old pages.

Try repairing Internet Explorer. Go to Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

Choose Internet Explorer 6, click "Change/Remove", and choose "Repair Internet Explorer" in the window that pops up.

Problem solved. Please check out <A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/btvillarin/" target="_new">My Website</A>.

[Shift]+[F5] (or [Shift]+pushing 'Reload') loads the page directly from the server, bypassing IE's cache.

Thanks for the posts, I will try repairing and "shift" f5 to see if it works
