I am looking for a sound card for Win2k. I was interested in the SB Live Platimun but none of the games it comes with work with Win2k. Any suggestions.

PS - Its says the games for on win85. Does that mean they just don't support Win2k?

well cake walk 8 comes with it and works in Win2k. The reason most people get it is for the live drive. I don't know how it is in Win2k, but I'm gonna gamble with the Hercules Game Theater XP. I like the Live and it works in Win2k but I'm building a second machine and would like to try it out.

The SB Live cards, especially the 5.1's have been known to have some problems under Win2K. Mainly slow games, terrible sound, popps and crackles, etc. It seems that it's mostly an issue on Via chipset motherboards, but I'm not sure if it's just them. I'm personally going to ditch mine for a Herc Game Theater XP, I'm tired of playing sound with my headphones on all the time.
