Hey guys,

I'm trying to install win7 on a raid 0 4tb hdd. My mobo is A8Z68-V Pro, it does have UEFI Bios.

This is the error that appears on the "select the driver to be installed"

"Load Driver
A required CD/DVD drive devce driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD , DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now

note: if the windows installation media is in the cd/dvd drive, you can safely remote it for this step."

How can I have my raid 0 hd drive appear on the Select the drive section.

Thanks

Solution
Windows 7 64 bit Intel F6 raid driver - Select windows 7 64 bit then in 2nd window click on driver F6 driver is the 2nd one down. Stick on thumbdrive, click have driver (under custom Install) when asked broose to thumbdrive.

Don't forget to also download the RST driver for after windows 7 installation is complete (Not use Ver 10.6) And HDDs should be on intel sata ports.
Go to the manufacturer website for your mobo.
Download the raid drivers for your board.
There should be instructions on how to unpack the drivers so you can put them on a USB stick or a DVD in a format that the windows installer can use.
Normally it will be a .cab and a .inf file.
Then when windows 7 asks you for the driver you point it at the CD or usb drive.

edit before you start the install you have to set sata 0 and sata 1 for raid 0 in the bios.

RetiredChief, I did what you stated and still had error come up stating

"No drive loaded"

=/

I'm wondering if it has to deal with the raid size being 4tb in total.

Good call.
Easy way to tell, When setting up the raid array - only select half the drive. The select the rest of the drive for a 2nd stripped array.

I prefer this to partitioning the drives afterwards using windows Disk management.
Windows will see the arrays as drive0 and drive 1 INSTEAD of one drive. You can then further partiton them using the windows diskmanagement.

Note: if this works and windows can see the "drive0" I would still select custom install and partition the "now 2 TB" drive to say a 200->400 Gig OS +program drive C. You can then install windows and partition the remainder of the drive however you see fit. DON'T forget that you will have to Intialize/partition (if desired)/formate Drive1 (the 2nd stripped array) before it will be usable (shows up in My Computer)

RetiredChief, thanks for all the help man, I was able to install windows 7 onto my hdd. The problem was the Sata 3 port, so i just plugged it into a new port and installed it that way.
