can I add an additional taskbar to W7? I'm used to a clean wall on XP

There is only one taskbar in Windows 7, however the use of icons is so efficient there's plenty of space.

I personally change the Start Menu so it shows "0" recent programs so it only shows the programs I pin to it.

Between the Start Menu and the Task bar things should be very "clean."

You can drag the taskbar to the side of the screen same as XP. Apart from that, I'm not really sure what you could be taking about.
