Dear,

First at all iam new here and i hope you can help me with some questions,

I wanted to ask what is the best value for me to tweak my Pagefile.sys

My setup isn't good at all but it's running OK and maybe in the future i'll upgrade my computer but first specs of my 'wooden PC'

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Build 7601 SP1
Processor: Intel Celeron E3300 2.50GHz, 2 Cores
RAM: 4GB (DDR2 800Mhz)
HDD1: Samsung HD103SI ATA (1TB)
HDD2: ST3500830ACE ATA (500GB)
Video: ATI Radeon HD 5570

My Pagefile.sys is currently running at my C:/ HDD (OS HDD) with a custom size of 1024 (Initial size) and 2048 (Maximum size)

And on my other HDD (the 500GB) is currently no value applied.

But below i see some information about; Total paging file size for all drivers -> Minimum allowed 16MB, Recommended 6142MB -> Currently allocated 1024MB.

Now my question is what should i do. should i apply my C:/ drive to a 'System managed size' or raise the value? Or Disable the Pagefile.sys on my C:/ drive and 'ENABLE' the Pagefile.sys to my other HDD (the 500GB 'D:/ drive') OR check the box 'Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers'.

I hope you could help me with this and ofcourse if you need more information about my system please replay.

Friendly kinds,

Joshua Mitchell Mars.
(Sorry for my bad english)

Place one on each (physical) drive and set both to "Sytstem managed", then leave them alone. Windows will use the one on the least busy drive at the time of the paging request. This will aid performance. Just remember this: Only one page file per <physical> drive, not one per partition.

So for example i'll choose my C:/ drive i need to Disable my D:/ (No paging file set) and click the round orb at my C:/ HDD (System managed size) or just leave all the options the way it was and just click the box 'Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers'.

Friendly Kinds,
