Well, we have a thread for the highest WEI scores, so we have a pretty good idea what the score is for OC'd i7s and PIIs as well as a feeling for what a pair of GTX 295s in SLI will do, but what about more mundane systems? Ever want to know what the score would be if you put windows 7 on that old desktop of yours, or on your little sister's laptop? Hopefully we'll be able to give you an idea of what to expect if you put win7 on that old thing.

I'll start:

This is my old laptop, It's a HP Pavilion zv6000 from mid 2005 (32bit)
AMD Athlon (K8) 3500+ (2.2ghz) 4.2
1gb DDR 333 RAM 4.2
ATi 200m GPU Aero: 2.5
Gaming: 3.2
unknown old 40gb HDD 4.1

Ironically if the clockspeed is even the slightest bit low (like 199mhz vs. 200) the processor puts up a 4.1, but OCing the processor from 2.2 to 2.31ghz and the graphics card from 300 to 380mhz won't increase anything at all.

Now my Desktop, which runs 64bit:
AMD Kuma 7750 (2 core K10): 6.2 at stock 2.7ghz, goes up to 6.5 @3.1ghz
4gb OCZ DDR2 1066 RAM 7.1
ATi 4870 512mb 6.8
6.8
Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB 5.9

What's yours?

From a 1.5GHz Pentium 4 with 768MB of RAM and an ancient NVidia graphics card running in the default XGA mode (no Win7 drivers available).

Compaq Presario V2000

Celeron M 1.5 GHz CPU: 2.8
1 GB DDR 333 MHz RAM: 3.7
Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Desktop Graphics: 1.9
Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Gaming Graphics: 1.0
Seagate ST98823A HDD: 4.4

Don't know why my graphics chipset gets above 1.0 for desktop graphics; it can't even run Aero!
I added 4 GB of flash drive for Readyboost, and this system runs Win7 fine for web browsing and word processing. No, it can't run Crysis like this iPhone...

It's a 32MB NVidia TNT, model number MVGA-NVTNT2MA, which was pretty much obsolete when XP came out. Good luck finding Vista drivers for that!

(Please don't actually try to find drivers for me, I used that system to kick the tires on Windows 7, but have since moved on a new Core i7 system.)

Damn, I guess 1.0 is the lowest score you could go. I would have tried it on my P4, but it died before even Win 7 Beta was released.
