I am trying to help a friend fix his laptop. Not sure what he did to it...couldnt boot to windows kept getting some vxd errors...tons of them...
i tried to copy all vxd files from a win95 cd to disk and put them in the windows\system directory but that didnt work either...
so i formated and tried to reinstall from his 40000 disks..lol
anyway got to disk 7 and kept getting errors with it..couldnt find etc... so i skipped those files and finished the install...when i booted it wouldnt go into windows with the same errors repeated...
does anyone have disk 7 from windows? or what else can i do?
thank you..

maybe his hard drive gave out, mine too gave the vxd errors when died, try running a drive testing app from floppy (find it at the site of the company made the drive)
