Hi Y'all,

I have a Windows 2000 DC running AD and the majority of my PC are now WinXP,
but some (especially in places like the warehouse etc) are still either
Win98 or Win95.

My Question is how do I centrally apply Group Policies to these machine as
only the Windows 2000 & XP machine apply any policy. I know I can do it at
each PC using the POLEDIT.exe, but I don't have the time to do this for
every 9x machine in the company.

Thank you

tia

I haven't thought about this is a while but if you use POLEDIT.exe to create
a NT style 'system policy' place that file in NETLOGON and it should work
for the 9x boxes. I don't have time to test this but am pretty sure that is
how it is done.

btw, NETLOGON on the 2kx DC is Winnt\sysvol\sysvol\<domain.name>\scripts.
You need to place the .pol file in here. I think the 9x clients may need to
have the Active Directory Client
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/server/evaluation/news/bulletins/adext
ension.asp) installed. The site does not mention this explicitly so it may
not be needed.
