I upgraded to Windows 10 about a month or two ago. Had two older cd/DVD's in pc. I don't write a lot od cd/dcd so I can't tell you when I last tried to write a cd/dvd in the older drives. When I did, they would not write, basically said incompatible device. Tried updating driver and when I did that older DVD just disappeared. Contacted mgf, they said, drivers did not work with Win10, get a new drive. So I did. just installed a Samsung sh224 DVD burner. Bios sees the drive, Windows does not. What is with Win10 not seeing DVDs? And how do I fix it?
Oh, the older drives were both IDE and until I tried to update the drivers on one of them, they both could read cds and dvds. And the new DVD is SATA.
Thanks in advance
