i just bought a 7.1 surround headset and on windows it says it's a speaker
I connected it with a USB
windows say it's a speaker and in the windows configuration there is only stereo channel there is no surround one
and this headset doesn't have an application or specific program with it to control that
what should I do?

Sorry to tell you but your 7.1 is only simulated in that little USB DAC. Your games should be able to let you hear simulated surround sound

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and Windows 10 version info.

What headset did you purchase?

What audio software and devices are installed?

Check the Audio inputs and outputs via Device Manager.

i5 10400f
gtx 1660ti
16gb ram
windows 10 pro latest update

I got the tronsmart glary gaming headset

I didn't install any audio software just latest windows update
and in device manager it's there

yea but why it shows as a speaker and not headphones icon and it says speakers on it on the bottom right the sound setting
my guess is it's a driver issue, my headset says headset and virtual surround, so you may have mismatched drivers, that or your windows install is hosed and can be fixed with a format and reinstall.

sorry, best I can do atm

also just checked the website for your headset and when I wanted to download the software for it to examine the package it says it can't be downloaded securely. Not sure you want to deal with this company.

I have HyperX Cloud II and it's 100% fine and reads out correctly. I would not deal with a company that doesn't have secure website--you can't even trust their software

i would test them on a working pc and see if it still says speakers, it might just be crappy software on their part

thanks for helping but would it sound different/better if it said headset or it doesn't matter it's just a name cuz windows allow u to change the name
