Window 7 Live Mail vs AT&T U-verse

Had U-verse installed on Fri Feb 6, 2015. With AT&T Support got Outlook to work on old XP PC. Followed setup from XP Outlook to setup Live Mail on Windows 7. Wouldn't work - at all. I find this hard to believe (and it may not work tomorrow). I logged onto ATT email which takes you to Yahoo.com. Logged in to Yahoo - and - while still signed in I went back to Live Mail deleted everything in Outbox. Created a new message to myself - hit Send - and wala it went. I then did a Live Mail receive and got my message. Signed off Yahoo. And Live Mail STILL WORKS!! I can't explain it and it may not work tomorrow. Jim Harris [mod: removed your email]

I have used Outlook Version 2002 since late 2002 on my old XP Home Dell PC. I have always used POP3 to download email. Originally my mailboxes were on mail.bellsouth.net then they got Yahoo.com to handle their email. It is strange to me that since I got U-verse I have to log into ATT which redirected me to Yahoo.com where I had to sign again using the same credentials. I just purchased an Acer with Windows 7 so I'm not totally savy on using it yet. I have made copies of the Live Mail configuration pages (removed my personal data) and will be glad to send you copies if you like.
