Question Window 7 Pro black screen before login screen

Hi ,

I have a strange problem with window 7 pro , every time I turn on the PC / restart , window will boot to the window logo page then goes into black
screen with no cursor.

This issues only started this few days , from Monday on wards this week.

The black screen will remained for about 25 minutes before the login screen appears ( Crtl + Alt + del to login with password ). I have tested this a few
times.

There is no mouse cursor when the black screen first appears. When time reach 25 minute , the hard disk start to react ( with sound) & the mouse
cursor appears and then the login screen appears.

Next , I manage to login into the window & found out that the window taskbar / desktop is freezed , and when I click on the screen a menu pop up
saying window explorer is not responding , I need to end the process before I can freely activate the desktop.

I have run chkdsk & sfc/ scannow , no problem found.

Pls help , if any anyone has any ideas on what is wrong with the window 7 pro.

Window 7 pro SP1 64bit
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220v5 @ 3Ghz
16GB RAM
Nvidia Quadro P1000

I had a similar problem and thought it was windows 7 or hard drive. It turn ot to be the computer bios setting for SATA, set to RAID. Changed to ATA and the windows rebooted normally.
strange. ( the bios time was wrong too, so I assume the bios had lost its normal settings )
