I have one computer with window 95 operation system and a
new one with window xp, can I install window xp in my old
computer that have window 95 ? Thanks for your reply

Not without purchasing an additional licence.

A 95 computer will probably require a BIOS update to run
XP and XP may not support its old hardware.

Microsoft has an XP compatibility site that checks a
system for XP compatibility, but it has no way to
determine if the BIOS is suitable.

If you want an up-to-date OS to run on that PC try SuSe or
Mandrake Linux, or another Linux distribution, all of
which can be downloaded for free from the distribution's

the computer with win95 probably doesn't not meet the requirements for winXP
(too old) ...
and from the legal point of view ...you would need to buy another copy of XP
anyway
