I recently added an SSD to my system and I'm running into the problem that when I try to use it, the activity percentage goes to 100. I have tried disabling the super-fetch service, changing SATA slots and formatting the main drive and the problematic drive. How could I fix this problem?

Solution
Hi there chrisdieck,

Which is your OS drive? I guess it is the SSD right?

What seems to be using the drive when you go to Resource Monitor?
Sometimes faulty cable could cause 100% usage. It may be a good idea attach the problematic drive with different cables(especially power one).

Another thing you can do is to boot into safe mode and see if the issue persists. In case it does, then this is most probably not Win 10 related.

Let me know how this goes,

Solution
I switched the power cable. Now it comes up as an unknown device and I can't Initialize it. When I try to initialize, it gives me "The specific disk is not compatible because the size is less than the minimum size required for GPT disk." I try to switch the cable, but it still gives me this error.

UPDATE: Now there is no signal coming from the drive.I looked on BIOS and there is only the OS drive in SATA information.
