You’ll need to perform a clean install to get to the 64-bit version of Windows 10 from the 32-bit one. There’s no upgrade path.

Warning: Back up your important files before continuing. This process will wipe your installed programs and files.

You cannot probably upgrade a 32bit operating system to 64 bit as it is totally different. You can only make afresh install and go with it. You need not format hard drive. You can install windows in same partition with the old windows. It should have 6-8 gb minimum space. The old windows files would be preserved and would be moved to windows.old in the root directory of c.

I hope I have helped you....

1st ) make sure CPU support's 64 bit
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

2nd) since you have alredy updated see
Once you’re already using an activated version of Windows 10, download the Windows 10 media creation tool from Microsoft. If you’re using the 32-bit version of Windows 10 at the moment, you’ll have to download and run the 32-bit tool.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Select “Create installation media for another PC” and use the tool to create a USB drive or burn a disc with Windows 10. As you click through the wizard, you’ll be asked whether you want to create 32-bit or 64-bit installation media. Select the 64-bit architecture.

you will have to pick the 64bit verion.

3rd) after you do this

Next, reboot your computer and boot from the installation media. Install Windows 10, selecting “Custom install” and overwriting your current version of Windows. When you’re asked to insert a product key, skip the process and continue. You’ll have to skip two of these prompts in total. After you reach the desktop, Windows 10 will automatically check in with Microsoft and activate itself. You’ll now be running the 64-bit edition of Windows on your PC.

all pretty stright forwaord but the old 32 has to go and the new 64bit has to come in if you want it legit, if you dont want it legit you will have to "buy" a separate copy of win 10 64 bit cause you cant have 2 of the same "keys" activated on the same machine. even if you do a parallel install.

yes you ALWAYS uses the same key code, never change it, or it wont register to your mashine, but as long as you use the same code it will be fixed to your mashine and your machine only and no mater what version 32 64 bit it will stay the same and it will be attched to your hardware. now if you try this on a diffreant mashine say your mother brother son cousins uncle it wont work they all need seprate keys, and i think you can update everything except your motherboard, eg if you need more RAM or NEW GPU no probelem, but if you change your mainboard yot my run it errors, such as evluation issues, but i think a siple call to micrsoft can fix those as well. :)
