I have turtle beach px4 headphones and they are running optical from my laptop. Its a 5.1 audio setup and ive been noticing that some of the channels were playing louder than others. I went into "Playback Devices" and found my optical output and went to "Properties" for my audio optical out device and I went to the "Levels" tab and went to "Balance" I noticed that only channel 5 was changing to the audio volume.

So I want to know how to make all the channels go up at the same time, I already tried to match the volume of all the channels but still only channel 5 changes to what i change the master to.

Can you please pass on the make and model number of your laptop? Are you sure your device drivers are up to date, namely your chipset/USB port and audio drivers? Have a go by downloading and reinstalling the latest drivers from either your laptop manufacturer or from Realtek's site. Have you followed up with this guide in order to setup your headphones? If so then the issue may be found in your Device Manager. See if there are any devices flagged with an error.

Hi thanks in response.

I already fixed the problem. All i had to do was change the "Default Format" back to 192000Hz, then back to Dolby Digital Live 5.1 then it fixed the balance by itself.
