Windows 10 Audio Hiccups

Ok So I just bought a new mixer (Yamaha MG10Xu) and I installed the newest drivers for it from the official website. However, every now and then (maybe every 2 minutes) while listening to music or watching a video, the sound hiccups and cuts out for a spilt second. It is getting very annoying.

So i tried reinstalling the drivers and disabling old ones like "realtek". Still doing it...

I tried updating all my drivers in general and that didn't fix the problem either... So I figured it was my headset, so I tested 3 different headsets and they all do the same thing. Lastly, I ran OBS a few times to do some tests and in the final recordings, it glitches and hiccups as well every other minute or so (sometimes within seconds of each other).

I disabled audio enhancements as per google. Everything I research keeps suggesting different things that seem to be working for others but not myself 🙁

I'm all out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Have you tried swapping cables?

Not familiar with mixer's per se but I noted that your mixer comes with (came with) four cables.

Could that be an issue?

The key for you is to carefully and objectively do some tests that vary only one thing at a time.

Narrow down the "hiccups" accordingly. Will take time and effort but more information is needed.

The Mixer only come with the power cable. It runs off USB 2.0 which doesn't come with it for some strange reason, so I had to go buy it myself. I bought it at a reliable local music retail store.

What did so far:

- Uninstalled and reinstalled the Yamaha Driver for my Mixer board.
- Uninstalled "Realtek" Audio drivers. Then reinstalled it when it didn't fix the problem.
- Updated my motherboard from the official manufacturer's website.
- Switched to different outputs on the wall and in surge proectors
- Tried multiple headphones
- Lowered the Sound Quality to 44000 16 bit on all audio devices
- Turned off Audio enhancements
- Did a Latency Test (passed with no problems)

So far none of these solutions fixed the problem. The CPU is barely ever passed 8% load at any given time. All the temps are normal and stable too. All programs run as they are supposed to.

The only things connected to my mixer are my XLR mic, headphones for montioring and my xbox console.

UPDATE: I have read that by turning off the feature in windows "fast boot up on startup" fixes the problem....Apparently, people who have the same issue say restarting your cpu fixes the problem temporarily but shutting down your cpu and rebooting it will reintroduce the problem. Not sure why that is and seems strange to me. I'm going to test this one last solution and see what happens. After this, I'm stumped... :/
