Windows 10 Auto-Upgrade, Can't Downgrade

One night I left my computer on and Windows 10 downloaded and upgraded for literally no reason, and it is without a doubt the most unusable operating system I have ever had installed on my PC. After only a day everything has broken (I must go into task manager to start any app, can't open start menu, horrible FPS in games even with my GTX 970).

Anyway, I don't have a disk or anything for Windows 7 as it was preinstalled on my PC. The option to downgrade in "Recovery" just simply isn't there.

So far my only option is to buy Windows 7 Professional again for like $40. So because some crappy operating system installed itself on my computer, I'm going to be down $40 out of my wallet? What am I meant to do?

Thanks,
Dafaria

Windows 10 does not install automatically without human intervention. If you're not the one who installed it, you might want to figure out who did.

The option to roll back to your previous installation is only available for the first 30 days from the time Windows 10 installs. Also, the information stored on the hard disk to roll-back can be manually removed, or removed with tools such as Windows own built in Disk Cleanup.

Your PC should have a sticker on it somewhere with your Windows Key on it. You can reinstall the same edition of Windows 7 that your key is for, provided you have access to a Windows 7 installation disc. Perhaps you have a friend, or know somebody with a disc? If their disc is for a different edition of Windows 7...

If their disc is for a different edition of Windows 7, it's also possible to make your own universal installation disc which allows you to select the edition at install time, and yes, you will need to select the edition your Key is for.

I didn't receive a key, simply preinstalled with my computer without any key.

I am telling you no one else has been anywhere near my computer on the night in question. It has only been 3 days since it was installed so I should be able to roll back, but there is no option. I don't have a key, but I can ask for someone with a disk.

Thanks!

It is in my case, I tore it off like an idiot.

Been searching past 2 days, finally found it in the weirdest place, oh well. At least I have it now.
