hey guys so yesterday i was playing csgo on my computer and out of nowhere the screen starts going black and tears and then the pc shuts down by itself. i tried turning it on but i can't reach the login screen because it gets stuck at black screen right before the login screen. the only way to reach the login screen and login is to boot using safe mode which isn't ideal.. is my gpu dead or is it drivers problem

It's definitely a graphical issue as Safe Mode uses on board graphics and their drivers.

Try uninstalling the latest video drivers to see if that works. You may have to re-install them or wait for a patch if it's a known issue with that driver.

Otherwise, run a snapshot tool (i.e. Rollback Rx, Comodo Time Machine, etc) to back up your system in case it happens again.

Re-installing the OS won't fix the computer in this case. You need to boot into Safe Mode and uninstall the drivers. ou can re-install the OS 100 times and you'll still have the issue with the drivers.

A clean installation of windows rules out driver compatibility issues. Next best course of action is to contact the manufacturer to diagnose replacement. The fact that issues persist only when drivers are installed displays hardware failure. This is because the graphics drivers are able to place the gpu under a significant load to replicate failure. Install the graphics card into another computer if you can to see if you experience the same issue before contacting the manufacturer.

I think the gpu is dead. after removing the gpu everything is working as expected. both in normal and safe mode so i think it's safe to say the problem is from gpu.
