I did a standard upgrade to Windows 10 on my HP p6310y desktop PC. I made sure it was activated and then did a clean install of Windows 10 using a flash drive. I deleted all partitions (including the recovery partition) and allowed the installation to complete. The problem is that my PC now just stays on the Windows logo for a while and then gives me a blue screen with Error Code 0xc0000001. I've tried reinstalling multiple times with no luck and I now do not have a recovery partition to reset everything with. I know it was dumb but I foolishly expected everything to go well. My computer had gotten cluttered and had become really slow, which is why I wanted the clean install in the first place. This is a spare PC so if I'm out of luck, so be it. However, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just in case anyone ever has this problem, swapping out the hard drive fixed my problem. I'm not sure what was wrong with the old one as I ran several diagnostic evaluations on it and all of them reported zero errors. I simply replaced it and now Windows 10 is installed and has ran fine ever since. Hope this helps someone in the future.
Thanks for posting the link but I have actually tried all of those things and still no luck. The Windows logo comes up with a swirling loading indicator but doesn't actually do anything for the next fifteen or so minutes until finally bringing up the error code. I've tried installing with a flash drive and DVD, both giving the same results.

Just to add something to the above post, I tried installing from a DVD and I even tried transferring the ISO to a flash drive but got the same result. Just to be thorough, I grabbed my windows 8.1 Pro OEM disc and tried installing it. It gives me the exact same issue. It seems like it is installing but once the windows logo shows up, it seems to just hang and then times out. After researching, I found someone else that had the same HP Pavilion as me and had a similar problem when they tried to clean install windows 8 when it first came out. Thing is, in all the posts he created, none ever seemed resolved. It makes zero sense to me because I did a standard upgrade to windows 10 and it worked fine but the clean install refuses to work. Maybe deleting the partitions was a bad idea but I do it at work every few days on systems that have viruses, malware, or xp machines that need windows 7 installed. It's standard procedure. I've got to be missing something here...
