Windows 10 booting to black screen after automatic update

I recently installed Win 10 on my PC and after an automatic update installed, I booted to a black screen. I've tried troubleshooting by using a bootable USB, but trying to boot into any changed startup (safe mode, low res video, etc.) gives me the black screen too. What do I do?

Try CTRL ALT DELETE. I the GUI shows up click task manager and boot explorer from there. If not i'll look into more fixes

That didn't work and my specs are: i5-4460, Asrock h97 anniversary, 8gb ram

no dGPU? how are you connecting to the monitor?

Since you have a dGPU, have you try taking it out and use the integrated gpu?
