i have a toshiba laptop. the CdDVDW has stopped working after i upgraded to windows 10.the CDDVDW is a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SU-208FB

i have tried uninstall and reinstall but doesnt work and device manager comes up as no errors

Hello Spcs

Can you please confirm if the CD/DVD drive is not functioning or its icon is not visible in the This PC window in your Windows 10 computer?

If it has no current and you are unable to operate it, there might be some hardware issue.

For accurate assistance, please provide more details like what did you do to uninstall and reinstall the drive and how is your optical drive responding when the eject button is pressed. :)

Good Luck!!

the icon is clearly visible in the "this PC"
when i hit the button on the side, it opens and closes, and i can also hear the lazer whizzing around like it should.
i used the device manager to unistall the driver and then restarted the computer, otherwise the DVDCD is working as far as i can tell, except it will not Read/Burn/Copy anything as it always comes up as "please insert blank CD"

I have the same issue, except that the icon in My Computer does not show. I have tried to update the driver with no success. It opens and starts to read whatever CD I put in but then does nothing. It's like it's not installed anymore. Any suggestions?
